McDonald Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ to DUI

The defensive lineman for San Francisco 49ers, Ray McDonald, has recently entered a ‘not guilty’ plea for the driving under the influence charge filed against him last month.

San Mateo County Assistant District Attorney Karen Guidotti says that a pretrial conference is set for September 28 and that a jury trial will begin on October 18 if the case won’t be resolved until then.

Last June, McDonald was stopped by a California Highway Patrol for driving 94mph on his black BMW along Interstate 280. He was under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. His blood-alcohol content wasn’t made public.

McDonald earlier made a public apology after being booked at Redwood City jail.

    His plea would never be considered. I mean, there are lots of evidence against him and he still have the guts to say “hey, I’m not guilty”. Moreover, he already made a public apology, so what does that mean? That he did not mean it? I hope he gets jailed and penalized for his actions.

    I really do hope that he be punished for his negligence.
