$300 for a 911 Call??
For a change I won’t be posting about an accident but something that may potentially affect the response time of police and firefighters.

Tracy Residents Now Have To Pay For 911 Calls. (photo credit: cbs)
According to a report in CBS13.com, Tracy residents will now have to pay every time they call 911 for emergency.
Residents have the option to pay $48 for the whole year and call 911 all they want (or just whenever necessary) or pay $300 every time they call 911.
$300!!! Are you kidding me??
What if a Tracy resident sees a car accident??
Now he is torn between calling 911 to save the victim’s life or not call 911 and save $300.
We all know that life is more important than money, but that $300 can also go a long way in feeding a family.
Besides doesn’t our tax money already pay for their salaries, should we really pay more?
And isn’t this like the government is charging us for saving a person’s life?? Aren’t we supposed to reward heroism?
This is just weird news to me.
What do you think?
