Drivers are required to maintain their vehicle because failure to do so may result in a fatal accident. In fact, a driver with a stalled 1990 Ford Tempo recently died after being rear-ended by another vehicle along Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento.

A 22-year-old Marine who appeared to be drunk and speeding in Reseda was arrested after a fatal vehicular accident involving a woman and her 5-year-old grandson early Sunday morning.
Reports show that the woman, Chandrika DeSilva, with her husband and grandson was just arriving from dinner when the accident occurred at about 2am.
