Speeding Elderly Driver Dies after Plunging into Creek in Sonoma

Speeding is one of the most common causes of auto accidents. A driver who speeds up has a high chance of losing control of his or her vehicle. In addition, he or she will have a reduced time when reacting to situations around him or her.

An 81-year-old speeding driver has recently died in a solo car accident in Sonoma County.

According to reports, the driver identified as Carolyn Dusharme, from Sonoma, was driving along Fifth Street West at high speeds. Her 2001 Mitsubishi Gallant then swerved off the roadway while passing along the Leveroni Road intersection, said police.

The vehicle crashed into a guardrail, moved through a field, and plunged into Sonoma Creek before it stopped on its side.

The elderly driver died at the accident area. Authorities have not yet determined whether she suffered from any medical condition before the accident occurred.
