Bicyclist Hit by Car while Running a Red Light

Motorists, including bicyclists, are required to reduce speed at a yellow light and stop when it turns red because failure to do so may endanger their lives.

In fact, a 43-year-old male bicyclist who ran a red light was hit by a car in Santa Ana.

According to reports, the bicyclist was moving south along Flower Street when he failed to stop at a red light and was then hit by a car.

Authorities said the man was hospitalized due to trauma to the upper body. It is not yet clear if he also suffered from head trauma due to the accident.
