Cadillac Passenger Dies in Hawthorn Fiery Crash

A Cadillac passenger has died in a fiery crash which occurred along Prairie Avenue and 120th Street in Hawthorne.

According to police, the driver was moving west at a speed of over 80 mph when he failed to stop at a red light, causing the car to collide with a southbound vehicle.

Because of the impact, the Cadillac slammed into a light pole, which then collapsed.

Reports said the passenger was unable to get out of the car before it caught fire. Meanwhile, the Camry driver was able to get out of the vehicle, but was still injured in the accident.
