A Tulare County Sheriff’s Department deputy was injured when his vehicle skidded towards an Earlimart-area orchard after hitting a power pole, causing it to split in half.

According to reports, the accident occurred along Road 120 north of Avenue 72 at around 1:50 a.m.

The deputy complained of chest and neck pains after the accident. He was brought to Tulare Regional Medical Center to receive immediate treatment.

It is fortunate that the deputy only sustained minor injuries. He was reportedly released from the hospital after being treated.
