Showing what being a community really means; students of El Toro High plans to raise funds to help fellow student Brent Sirignano with his medical expenses.
Brent was seriously injured in a vehicle accident after the car he was a passenger in lost traction on a wet road and crashed into a tree last week in Mission Viejo.
His father, Ed Sirigrano, said that Brent is now stable but still in critical condition.
“This is going to be like running a marathon,” Brent’s father Ed Sirignano wrote in a blog. “Brent is very seriously critical and this going to take time. Although they have somewhat decreased his medication that is keeping him in a coma, there will be expected bumps in the road that will need to be addressed.”
To help raise funds, the students plan to hold a bake sale and car wash on Saturday from 8am to noon.
A fund has also been setup to help the family with the medical expenses.
If you are interested in making a contribution, checks can be made out to “Brent Sirignano” and mailed to Wells Fargo Bank, 24251 Rockfield Blvd., Lake Forest, CA 92630.
They shoud be marked “Attention: Nghi X. Luu.”
Brent’s family is asking for continued prayers and support from the community.
