Driving may be considered as a dangerous activity for elderly drivers because some of them may already have slower reflexes while others may be suffering from poor vision or hearing problems.
A 73-year-old driver recently died after the pickup truck he was driving smashed into a tree along southbound 73, south of the 55.
The Orange County Coroner’s office said the man has been identified as Robert Decker Sr., from Orange. After the accident occurred, he was rushed to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he was announced dead.
Hopefully, elderly drivers will think twice before they sit behind the wheel. If they feel that their age negative affects their driving skills, then they should avoid operating a vehicle.
