A man riding a stolen motorcycle tried to escape from a Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy then met a fiery death after a pursuit that began along Marconi and Walnut avenues.
It was reported that the fleeing rider slid the stolen vehicle sideward, right into a car’s rear passenger door. The motorcycle then exploded into flames along Fair Oaks Boulevard, said authorities.
The man was taken to Mercy San Juan Hospital in order to save his life.
However, he still died despite the immediate medical help that was provided to him by the hospital staff.
Authorities withheld the rider’s identity because his family has not yet been notified regarding the fatal crash.
