An Elk Grove house had major structural damages after a drunk teen drove a Hummer H-2 into it and fled the scene, leaving his injured passenger inside the vehicle.
The 18-year-old identified as Tony Tran was arrested moments after he wrecked the house and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and for leaving the scene of an accident. It is unknown whether Tran was injured but his passenger that he left had a broken arm.
Luckily, everyone inside the house was sleeping upstairs when the Hummer destroyed their house. However, one of them had minor injuries after slipping on the debris of the crash when she was checking to see what happened to their house.
This drunk-teen-caused accident will unfortunately affect the family’s life and activities as they will be unable to live inside their house while the extensive damages are being repaired.
Teen drunk driving has really become a problem in our society. Teens have a tendency to feel invincible, especially when drunk, so they must always remember that their safety and their own lives are at risk each time they drive while intoxicated.
