Wearing a helmet is important for motorcyclists because it will protect them from serious or fatal injuries in the event of an accident.

A 26-year-old male motorcyclist who failed to do so learned this the hard way as he sustained moderate head injuries after he crashed into a block wall in Anaheim.

According to reports, he was moving eastbound on Stoneybrook Drive, towards Westhaven Drive, when he lost control of his vehicle after failing to turn.

The motorcyclist then crashed into the wall and was injured because of it.

He was rushed to UCI Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
