Three employees of Tesla Motors Inc. have been killed after a small plane crashed into a Northern California neighborhood recently.
The twin-engine Cessna 310 caught fire after it allegedly hit some power lines shortly after it took off while there were still heavy fogs in Palo Alto. Blazing parts of the aircraft damaged vehicles and houses nearby including a day care center. Luckily, no one else was injured in the fiery crash.
It is hard to pinpoint the exact cause of this accident but readers of the story may link it to heavy fogs that could have obstructed the pilot’s view.
Though there are casualties in this accident, it could still have been a lot worse if residents weren’t able to evacuate their houses in time. Plane crashes in residential areas often result to massive property damages that the liable party would have to compensate.
I hope pilots would be more reluctant to fly especially if the weather is bad as it will limit their vision and options while flying.
