Teenager Airlifted to Hospital after Accident

Bicyclists should remember that taking routes where they will encounter lesser traffic will further prevent accidents from happening especially while wearing lesser safety gears and equipments.

A 14-year-old boy was recently airlifted to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center after being involved in an accident near Santa Fe Springs. The boy was reportedly riding his bike when he was struck by a Mercedes-Benz sedan at Lakeland and Carmenita roads.

The boy sustained moderate head and facial injuries though he was awake while being transported to the hospital. The man stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with authorities as they investigated the accident.

Hopefully, the boy will not sustain permanent injuries. It should be a lesson to everyone that paying attention on the road, whether he is a motorist or a bicyclist, is important so that he won’t be injured or cause injuries to others.
