Jet accidents do not usually happen, unlike rampant road accidents. However, when they do happen, severe injuries or deaths will likely be involved in them.
It is fortunate that two fighter jet pilots survived a recent jet collision that occurred along the northern Nevada desert.
According to reports, the collision suddenly happened while the two pilots of the Lemoore Naval Air Station (NAS) were participating in a training mission.
One of the pilots was able to land safely at the Fallon Naval Air Station minutes after the accident while the other one ejected smoothly prior to the collision.
The second pilot was brought to a hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. He was released later on.
A Lemoore NAS spokeswoman stated that the names of the pilots involved will be withheld from the public.
An investigation is being conducted to determine why the collision occurred.
